What counts as valid identification for people under 18?

Here is an overview of what counts as valid identification for minors:

• Passport (emergency passports are not accepted)
• Norwegian alien’s passport
• Norwegian travel document for refugees
• Norwegian national ID card
• National ID card from an EEA country
• Birth certificate (only valid if the child’s guardians have valid identification and manage the child’s account)

It is important that the expiry date on the identification is at least three months in the future when the minor identifies themselves at the bank.
